I used to work at Dove House Hospice in Hull where Princess Diana was The Patron, she used to regularly visit us in the evening when she was in the area.

Princess Dianna would go around the 2 wards and sit on each patients bed - she would laugh and chat with them all, give them a cuddle and cheer everyone up. She was an absolutely lovely lady and so down to earth. She came about every 3 months when visiting The Lord Lieutenant and would always make the time to see us after their evening meal and stay late into the evening chatting to all our patients.

She always left a cheque each time she visited and her huge donations of both time and funds to the hospice were very much appreciated by all.

All the staff at the hospice were devastated when she passed away.
