Diana, Princess of Wales, was a humanitarian and member of the British royal family. She was the first wife of King Charles III and the mother of Prince William and Prince Harry. She advocated for important causes such as homelessness, cancer and AIDS awareness and prevention. Princess Diana died on August 31, 1997.
Diana’s funeral was held on September 6, 1997 at Westminster Abbey, and an estimated 2.5 billion people around the world watched the service. Diana is buried at her family's estate, Althorp, in Northamptonshire.
