This is William Street in the Butts, celebrating the Silver Jubilee in 1977. We did a fascinating interview recently with Mrs Petty, who took this photo and several others of the event. Mrs Petty ran a shop on the corner of Mill Lane and William Street (now demolished) and displayed the photos in her shop window so local residents could have copies.
