My memory of meeting royalty.

It was 1986 and I was at school in Kidderminster. We were not told she was coming and I have vague memories of being hustled to the playing field for Harry Cheshire high school, which we shared as I was at St. John’s middle school. We were all stood around the rugby pitch and this huge helicopter landed. I remember more about the helicopter than seeing princess di. The police and military were all there, it was rather surreal. The helicopter landed, it was loud and as a kid who loves anything mechanical I was so excited. She came out of the helicopter and walked around the perimeter saying hello to everyone. I remember how pretty she was, although I was fascinated by the helicopter. I was only eight years old and had never seen a helicopter up close. My memories are vague so I do apologies.
